Because Laura was first inspired to begin painting by traditional Tibetan Buddhist ritual objects, she has chosen to incorporate Tibetan prayer flags into her paintings and supports the Tibetan cause by contributing a portion of the proceeds from her artwork sales to The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT).

Founded in 1988, ICT is a non-profit membership organization which works to promote human rights and democratic freedoms for the people of Tibet. ICT is committed to speeding a negotiated solution between the Chinese government and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, promoting human rights, religious tolerance and cultural survival in Tibet.
